• What’s Your Bag-Holding Style Says About You?

Body language can say a lot about the kind of person you are. The way you walk, the motions you make when talking, your facial expressions, and even the way you carry your bag. A bag becomes less like an object and more like a companion because it houses your important content. Many people will spend a small fortune on a bag, so they become an important asset to care for. That is why the bag you choose and how you carry it around can tell us a little bit about the kind of person you are.

Here is a guide to what you are telling the world:

    The Arm-Crook Hook

This is a quick grab-and-go method, and tends to be utilized by high-profile celebrities. Carrying a bag in this way shows authority. You are actually wearing the bag, and it becomes less of an accessory and more of a part of your ensemble. This carrying style has the ability to make you feel superior.

    The Schlepper

These are people who have 3 or 4 bags to juggle. You resort to whatever method will work, as there is no strategy. This method tells us you are worn and in a rush to get to where you are going. This may symbolize that you have a hard time getting to places on time, and tend to space-out easily.

A hands-free bag will allow your figure to be covered up. While this can be useful when trying to get the attention off of a problem area, it can also show insecurity. People who carry hand-free bags do not ooze with confidence, as they are always looking for something to hide behind.

    The Twofer

This is where the bag is held:  in front of the waist line with both hands. It signifies shyness. It gives a look that you are protecting your possessions from life itself. This can be a sign that you are not comfortable with the current situation.

    The Baguette

This method is being utilized by many trend setting stars. This style of holding a bag signifies readily on-the-go.

    The Third Arm Drape

A long strapped shoulder strap is typically worn cross body style. However, some individuals leave the strand long and still draped it over the shoulder, which can cause the bag to make its way to your backside. This signifies that you have no clue what is going on. You lack awareness in many situations in your life.

    Armpit Hold

A clutch is most often utilized this way, as they are hard to hold. This gives your bag a place to be, and gives you the freedom of using your hands. However, this carrying method tends to feel awkward. You also have to be careful when choosing a bag to fit your body type, as this carrying method can turn into a double awkward appearance, leaving you looking very unattractive.

    The Briefcase

Many choose to rid their bag of the shoulder strap altogether and just use the handles. This signifies a person who means business, as it tends to give off the vibe that the bag is heavy. This individual is not necessarily worried about their appearance, as where they’re going is more important.

    The Thumb-To-Pit

This is where the bag is draped over the shoulder, and the individual grasps hold of the straps right at the armpit area. This signifies that they are protecting their goods, and are viewed as street-smart individuals.
